Safaricom PLC, a leading telecommunications company in Kenya, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the company. As a Finance Manager at Safaricom, you will work closely with senior management, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the financial health and growth of the organization.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
– Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that the company\u2019s financial goals and targets are met. Provide in-depth financial analysis and strategic insights to the executive team.<\/p>\n
– Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS).<\/p>\n
– Internal Controls & Risk Management: Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard the company\u2019s assets, ensuring compliance with Safaricom\u2019s financial policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
– Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management, ensuring that the company has the necessary liquidity to meet operational needs. Work on optimizing working capital and managing the company\u2019s financial risks.<\/p>\n
– Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between various internal departments, external auditors, regulatory bodies, and investors. Present financial information to key stakeholders in an understandable and transparent manner.<\/p>\n
– Tax Management: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and laws, managing the company\u2019s tax affairs to optimize tax liabilities.<\/p>\n
– Leadership & Team Development: Manage a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
– Educational Qualifications:
\n– A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master\u2019s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance is a plus.<\/p>\n
– Professional Certifications:
\n– Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), ACCA, or any other equivalent professional accounting certification.
\n– A CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation would be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
